Montana law spells out your rights and responsibilities in addition to those stated in your lease. Your responsibilities as a tenant include:
Maintaining the property by keeping it clean and using it properly.
Conducting yourself in a manner that does not unreasonably disturb other tenants or your neighbors.
Refraining from engaging in criminal conduct or conduct that could put other tenants or neighbors in danger.
Granting your landlord reasonable access to your apartment to make repairs, improvements, or inspect the property. The law requires a landlord to give you 24 hours notice before entering your rental property.
